Let Them

As the New Year rolls around, I can’t help but ask myself how I’m going to approach it. Resolutions have never been a source of inspiration for me; they’re overwhelming and often unsustainable. Last year, I experimented with choosing a single word as my focus, but it eventually lost its spark and meaning. At the heart of my search for a New Year’s strategy is the desire for something simple and effective—a compass that can guide me with ease and consistency.

This year, I’ve landed on a mantra: “Let Them.”

MakeIt’s simple, easy to remember, and deeply powerful. At its core, *Let Them* is a reminder to let others be and do what they need to. By granting others the space to act as they will, we reclaim our own energy and focus on what we can control. It’s a small shift in perspective that carries big implications for how we live our lives. it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

How Does This Relate to Jewelry?

Jewelry may seem like a surprising connection, but it’s actually the perfect tool to anchor this mantra in daily life. Here’s why:

1. Jewelry as a Reminder

Wearing a piece of jewelry can serve as a physical reminder to embody your intention. For example, a necklace can become more than just an accessory; it’s a touchpoint. Each time you reach up to adjust it or feel its weight, it reminds you to “let them”. It’s a small, subtle action that reinforces your focus throughout the day.

2. Jewelry as an Act of Self-Care

The simple act of putting on a piece of jewelry can also be a statement of self-care or defiance. Perhaps you choose something bold, unique, or different from your usual style. By wearing it, you’re claiming your power and saying, “Let them judge or critique—I’m good with who I am, and this is what I’m doing.” It’s a tangible way to assert your autonomy and embrace your individuality.

Why “Let Them” Matters

This mantra resonates because it shifts the focus away from others and back to yourself. You can’t control what others think, say, or do, but you can control how you respond and what you choose to focus on. By letting them be, you free yourself to be fully you.

So this year, as you decide how to approach the months ahead, consider adopting a simple, actionable mantra. And maybe, just maybe, let a piece of jewelry become your anchor—a daily reminder of your power to let go, focus on yourself, and move through the world with intention.

*The concept of "Let Them" was inspired by Mel Robbins' book, "Let Them: A Mindset for Happiness" (2024).
